Does our industry need to embrace stoicism? Stoicism emerged as a philosophy or a way of life in ancient Rome around 50-100 AD. The goal of this philosophy was to find the best way live. Some of it’s fundamental tenets could be instructive.

One chief tenet is to set your own internal goals while detaching yourself from the outcome. This allows us to pursue our ‘best self’ in pursuit of our objectives…

    Other than the proposed change, the vlog was important. Like The_Cynic has expressed in the past, I like the thinking in the Greek empire as to logic and general philosophy.

    You are absolutely right that while Stoicism had a small following for about 300 years, it began to flourish starting in the days of Emperor Claudius.

    Stoic thinking is lacking in so much of today’s society. Once again, it seems to dying out.

    Very good presentation for what many have never taken time to consider. I am not a Stoic but their philosophy is impressive.

      Thank you Carmine. I agree, stoicism is not popular in today’s culture but perhaps needed. Thank you for the catching the spelling on the video.
