Let us give these numbers some context. The endorsement total for the month of February 2017 is the worst such total for any February in over a decade.

The speck of silver lining in this count is that the count was sufficient so that there is now a high probability that the total endorsement count for the first half of fiscal 2017 (ending 3/31/2017) may not end up being the worst endorsement count for any first half of a fiscal year in more than a decade. As of now it looks that the count will end up making the endorsement total for the first six months of this fiscal year as being the second worst such total in over a decade as long as the endorsement count for Mach 2017 is at least 4,113.
