  2. The biggest challenge for CPAs working in CPA firms is accurately tracking time spent on various activities for billing and analysis purposes. Just tracking how time is spent takes time and must be a priority or you will lose track of it. It includes 1) writing down the specific activity, 2) filling in the right code for the general activity, 3) writing down the client’s name as well as the client number, and 4) allocating the time spent. This is both tedious and tiresome. But it must have a very high priority or you will spend hours trying to figure out how you spent minutes with no compensation for the task.
