  1. February results are very disappointing in that over 20,400 case numbers assigned in September 2017, all we have seen for January and February is 11,514 endorsements. It was generally anticipated before January 2018 that the total endorsements coming out of September 2017 case number assignments would be much closer to 14,000 endorsements for the total endorsements from January and February 2018.

    Some originators spoke of the disappointing pull through rates they were seeing in their pipelines. With numbers as low as they have been for the last two months, the total endorsements for fiscal 2018 should fit the continuing pattern of downward sloping hill to valley secular stagnation that the industry has been experiencing over the last five consecutive fiscal years.
